€50 per hour for the whole car, not per person. The total is an estimate for the suggested day; you pay for the actual time from pickup to drop-off. Pickup at your hotel anywhere in Salzburg and Upper Austria; the drive to you is free.
Your day, hour by hour
- 07:00Your driver collects you at your hotel. Coffee to go is a good idea.
- about 1 h 20 · along the Fuschlsee and the Wolfgangsee, quiet at this hour
- 08:20Hallstatt. The village centre is closed to cars, so we choose the arrival point that suits your plan – usually the car park at the edge of the village, a 15–20 minute walk along the lake to the market square. Start at the famous view from Gosaumühlstraße while it's still empty, then wander the lanes, the lakeside and the two churches, and find a café as the village wakes up. From 09:00 the new funicular runs up to the Skywalk “Welterbeblick” for the view over the whole lake.
- 11:20Back to the car, just as the tour coaches arrive.
- about 25 min
- 11:45Lake Gosau. Walk ten minutes to the first viewpoint for the Dachstein reflected in the water, or follow the whole flat loop around the lake (4.2 km, about an hour). Lunch at the inn by the lake.
- 13:15Back on the road through the Gosau valley and Abtenau.
- about 1 h 15
- 14:30Back at your hotel with the afternoon still free.
The final price depends on the actual time from pickup to drop-off. Stay longer, leave earlier or change the itinerary whenever you like.

Good to know
- •Hallstatt is a village where people live. Keep your voice down in the lanes early in the morning and stay on the footpaths.
- •Cars cannot drive into the centre. If walking 15–20 minutes is difficult for anyone in your group, tell Ronald when you ask; he will plan the stops around it.
- •In winter the Lake Gosau path is not recommended. We go to Bad Ischl instead.
- •The funicular reopened with new glass cabins at the end of August 2026; some older websites still say it is closed.
